Eggless Homemade Mango Ice cream

Here is a cool recipe from my dear friend Priya. With just few ingredients, she perpared delicious creamy mango ice cream. I am sharing the ice cream and the recipe that she gave me.

Ingredients:

Kraft Cool whip - whipped topping - 1 tub

Condensed milk - 1 can

Evaported milk - 1 can

Mango pulp - 1 cup

Method:

Thaw the cool whip to room temperature. Mix all of the above ingredients thoroughly (don't have to use a blender or a mixer, just mix all ingredients) and freeze. Mango ice cream is ready.

variations:

Substitute ground almonds, saffron and elaichi for wonderful kesar pista.

Use rose essence and rose coloring for rose ice-cream.

You can try other flavors using the above method as well.
This is my entry to "Recipes for the rest of us" event hosted by Ramki of One page cookbooks.

Condensed makes it great tasting without eggs of course! Looks great. It's very very cold here since yesterday, so I will have to wait until Summer to make this. Love Mango Ice Cream!:)

what is that cool whip, can u pls elaborate what it is?

Thanks Asha, We could not wait until summer. We enjoyed this for New Year eve.

Regarding the cool whip, in the US, Cool Whip is a non-dairy dessert topping which is similar to whipped cream. It was introduced in 1966 by Kraft Foods and consists mainly of processed vegetable oils and high fructose corn syrup.

yes nags, I use condensed milk in most of the payasams that I make. So yum.

easy crafts, I like to have ice cream in winter too. But will follow with a glass of warm water.

Indosungod, Thanks! Sure, try this one and you will stop buying ice cream from outside.

Padmaja, Its pouring outside here in California and rains are expected until Sunday. Good that the weather was awesome when we had this ice cream during the December holidays.

looks yum and mouth watering

Yes Susan. No Ice cream maker. The ice cream is not too buttery. Its all milky, the way I like.

Red Chilli, Just blend in a blender. Its that easy. Next time I want to try with my favorite ingredient Saffron.

laavanya, thanks a lot.

Roopa, Thanks!
